I have been sick lately, so the blog has been left alone for a while. But I have tought monti a new trick, take a bow! I will write about that soon 🙂
I love the dog legacy, everyone should adopt a lonely pet and give it a forever home! ♥
Thank you to 3Ms Bakery for this gorgeous poem
When humans die, they make a will
To leave their homes and all they have to those they love.
I, too, would make a will if I could write.
To some poor wistful, lonely stray
I leave my happy home,
My dish, my cozy bed, my cushioned chair, my toy.
The well loved lap, the gentle stroking hand,
The loving voice,
The place I made in someone’s heart,
The love that at the last could help me to
A peaceful painless end
Held in loving arms.
If I should die, Oh do not say,
“No more a pet I’ll have, to grieve me by it’s loss.”
Seek out some lonely, unloved dog
And give my place to him.
This is the legacy I leave behind –
’tis all I have to give.
Me and Monti have done some intensive training this last few days, getting him to walk by my side instead of pulling me has not been easy but he responds well. I have given him rewards (food) and I get his attention when I talk to him. Before he was to distracted but now he is so much more focused. He did not want to model for me today, we took a walk to the beach and so many seagulls makes my boy a little crazy! I guess sometimes the distractions win but I am taking it one step at the time. Trying to be more interesting than the world can be a challenge.
This place is full of dogs, the path leads to Borrehaugene National park, viking graves and a historical museum you can visit. Also it has small sand beaches all the way there. I walked there last summer, If it gets to hot for Monti on the walk he can just jump in the ocean. I want summer to come quickly this year, So much more fun with your dog than wintertime.
This week Monti has been busy. First we went to a friend who has a boxer. They played for one and a half hours, then I walked him two and a half hours to my mother and back home. Today we went for a walk to the city I live in and back. He seems very pleased about it, He is so much calmer when he has used up his energy :).
Last time I wrote here I mentioned that I am filming some of his tricks but I need to edit the film and upload it to you tube. I hope I can record some of his cutest moments ❤
